This is real but it is a rocket. Probably a test missle.
I used to live by General Dynamics Weapons manufacture in Pomona California. Ive seen these before and the news always said that they were missle tests from General Dynamics. This millses are so high up that the sunlight still hits it. kinda how you can see the moon at night. its so high up that the sun hits it.
Re the missles though, it usually needs to be in the western sky just after sunset to see them. They are high up but not quite that high. Just in the upper atmosphere.
