Producer Amanda

M-F 5a-10a

After moving from a little hippy logging town in the Pacific Northwest when I was 5, I've been generally running amuck and getting into shenanigans around the Greater Sacramento area for the last 20 something years. Right out of high school I got a job with a large corporate telecommunications company and managed to work there for the next ten years which eventually it led me to move to Texas. Fortunately, I came to my senses and moved back home to good old suck-ramento and had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with my life when I got back. Luckily, I was able to find 3 jobs, and for a period of time, I worked my ass off running from one to the next. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I managed to find the love of my life, get knocked up and am now happily living in sin with my old man. Some might call it dumb luck, or for the more educated folks out there, you’d probably say it was something closer to a glutton for punishment. Clearly, I must have forgotten to take the sucker sign off my forehead the day former Producer Cristi asked me if I wanted to come in and answer phones for the show. Whatever the case may be, I managed to land a kick ass gig. I can honestly say I feel fortunate and blessed to be given such an opportunity to work with an amazing group of people, who are now like a second dysfunctional family to me. When I’m not working for that slave driver Rob, I’m usually busy raising my son and 2 stepsons, practicing with my roller derby team, or geeking out over some kitschy item I found at a thrift store. In short, I pretty much spend my days being awesome and kicking ass. I'd like to say I look forward to talking with you listeners on the phones, but let's face it, the people who call the show barely have two brain cells to rub together. What I am looking forward to, though, is learning all I can from the fantastic team I work with and getting to come to work to a place I absolutely love.
